Today was the first anniversary of Ved's Bakery Dream-Cream. It was decorated in silver aesthetics because Veera had created chaos for silver aesthetics and eventually made her brother bow down to her as her stubbornness was unbearable and unbreakable.
More than hundreds of people visited Dream Cream that day which was the highest till now. Because of this, George had to call his brothers, David and James, who were running a cafe in a nearby city.
That day Ved exchanged many cards with many important people.
But one card, which he never expected that he would exchange was with Jagjot Ketkar. The rising internet sensation and car racer. At first, he couldn't believe his eyes.
He told Jagjot about Veera's passion for cars and her dream of becoming a car racer one day like him and that she is his huge fan and will go crazy if she sees him.
Jagjot told him about the upcoming car racing event the next month and invited him and Veera. But Ved refused the invitation politely as the tickets were expensive. Ved couldn't afford the tickets, and a wave of disappointment washed over his face, as he started getting flashbacks of his conversation with Veera in the car that day.
Jagjot noticed his gloomy expression and gave him an offer. Jagjot told him that after the race, all three winners would cut their respective cakes of respective positions and the order was still left to place. So, if he wants to, then he can take this offer, and in exchange for this, Veera can watch the car race. Ved's face lit up and he thanked him. But Jagjot told him that there was no need to thank him and told him that he could feel him. Ved asked him how. Which, he said that he belonged to a lower-middle-class family, where the only thing that was allowed was to study. But he and his twin sister Rachna, broke all the barriers of the family and society. Which definitely cost him bruises all over his body. His father, who worked as a constable, and his brother, who worked in a small company, didn't spare even an inch of his skin, and that too just because he tried to chase his dream because according to them, a career with the car means becoming a driver only. Also, Rachna has yet to be married off as she was also about to turn eighteen and his younger brotherstudies were still left. In this situation of less family income, younger brother's studies, and collection of Rachna's dowry his dream of becoming a car racer would have left unfulfilled. So to escape, he agreed with his father and elder brother and decided to pursue B.com from Delhi. But he also insisted to his parents that Rachna would also go with him. At first, they disagreed right in front of his face. But after a week full of chaos and getting bruised all over his and Rachna's bodies by both his father and his elder brother, he finally got permission to take Rachna with him, but only on one condition that she would pursue B.A only. But suddenly, his mother, who had never uttered a single word in 30 years, stormed in between their conversation and set a condition right in front of him that the money that had been saved for Rachna's dowry would not be spent elsewhere, so he would have to pay for her on his own. Otherwise, she wouldn't go. Jagjot agreed to their condition while hiding his tears because they looked pretty confident, that he would send Rachna back in less than a month. Because they thought that he was not capable of earning that much. But he was also not less. He went to Delhi and got a part-time job for himself and Rachna and applied for student aid. And instead of getting Rachna an admission in B. A college he got her admission to an engineering college, and that was the happiest day of his life as he saved both himself and Rachna. He didn't tell his parents about any of this. Today, Rachna is in Germany working for big car companies and planning to open one of her own. And with a chuckle, Jagjot said, "Still not married."
And then he said to Ved," That's why giving you free tickets is not just a deal, but a feeling of satisfaction.
